The Chancel Choir is taking orders for SCRIP cards. SCRIP cards are just like gift cards but remember you can use them for everyday purchases as well. Every time you order a SCRIP card the Chancel Choir keeps a percentage of the order - no extra cash out of your pocket. There are cards for convenience stores, stand alone stores, restaurants and just about any store at the mall’s. SCRIP cards will be ordered on the following dates for 2010:                 May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15,                 Sept 19, Oct 17                 Nov 21 and 28                 Dec 5, 12 and 19             Â
Orders are typically in by the following Thursday.  You can order online at www.shopwithscrip.com using the enrollment code: CD7L2LB213L27. Online has the most updated list of retailers.  SCRIP cards can also be ordered using the form found in the Narthex and turned into Michelle Malick by the dates listed above. Proceeds help fund the purchase of music, instruments, and maintenance of equipment and gowns. If you have any questions, you can ask any choir member. |

Recycle Your Cell Phones And Ink Jet Cartridges The Olivet Handbell Choirs collect used: Cell phones, Laptop computers (No desktop computers, tower computers, monitors, printers, scanners, faxes, modems, keyboards, mouses, or TV’s, etc.), MP3 Players – Only: Apple iPods, Microsoft Zune, Sandisk, or Creative, Digital Cameras, Digital Video Cameras – Camcorders, Ink jet cartridges – Small ones that fit in the palm of your hand (No laser cartridges, toner cartridges, fax cartridges, and no large printer cartridges) Handheld Game Systems – Only: PSP Handheld, Nintendo DS lite, DS Original, Gameboy Advanced or Gameboy color. (No other types) The donations can be placed in the cabinet in the Narthex. All items are shipped to Ecophones. They are located on the web at www.ecophones.com . Money received from recycling these items has helped the handbell choirs purchase new music stands, new music and music stand lights. Thanks for your donations. |
