Olivet Pentecost Challenge
“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.” Acts 2:46-47
On April 21 we launched our Pentecost Challenge. One of the basic practices of the early church was eating together. This year, we would like everyone in our church to have dinner or lunch at another member’s house. There is no agenda, just breaking bread together.
The Host will provide the main course and 6-8 guests will bring sides and/or desserts.
We have spoken to a few members and they have graciously agreed to host a meal on the dates listed below. If you would also like to host a date, please contact the church office and ask Darlene to add you.
Things hosts should consider: What date and time? Can they host children? How many can they host, including themselves (ie: 6-8 guests plus 1-2 hosts = 10)?
We will advise attendees of homes that have pets and they should advise us if they have any food allergies. You will find this information on the sign-up sheets located in the Garden Room.
