The Faith in Action Zoom Discussion Group gathers every Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:45 AM for meaningful conversation and Christian fellowship. Together, we explore a wide range of real‑world topics—big questions, current issues, and everyday challenges—while grounding our reflections in Scripture and seeking God’s truth for our lives.
This is a warm and supportive space where we share openly: our wisdom and our questions, our fears and our hopes, our joys and our sorrows. We bring our whole selves into the conversation, trusting that God meets us in an honest community.
All are welcome to join us.
The Social Principles are a good faith response to what we believe God is already doing in our lives and in the public square. They are not church law but “represent the prayerful and earnest efforts of the General Conference to speak to the issues of the contemporary world from a sound Biblical and theological foundation that is best in keeping with our United Methodist tradition.” Join us as we discuss, ponder, and apply the updated UMC Social Principles in our church and in our lives. Lessons include:
1. The Social Principles: What They Are and Why We Have Them
2. Family Matters: One, Two, or More
3. Relationships: Two, Then One, Then Two Again
4. Human Sexuality: A Gift or a Curse?
5. Temptation: The Weakness of the Flesh
6. Effects of Violence on Mind, Body, and Spirit
7. End of Life Issues: Dying, Death, and Donations
